Goals/Curriculum
Our goal is to carefully design an early learning experience that uses a carefully planned curriculum designed to meet the developmental needs of the individual child.
Children are given opportunities to take part in large groups, small groups, and individual activities.
In the course of a day each child has opportunities for physical exercise, for music, art, dramatic play, sensorial experiences, language/stories, science/discovery, and fine/gross motor development.
Infants 0 – 17 Months
Your Baby Can Read is one of our big tools that we implement in the infant room. It is designed to teach language skills in a way that is smiliar to how infants and yound children naturally explore their environment-by using their senses and by interacting with people and objects. Toddler 18 – 36 Months
FrogStreet Toddler Curriculum is our newest tool being implemented in the Toddler Classroom. The curriculum is designated around the latest scientific early brain development research, this year around program focuses on enhancing the simple joy of childhood while equipping caregivers to nurture curiosity through exploration. FrogStreet Toddler, created by Dr. Pam Schiller, incorporates Dr. Becky Bailey’s Conscious Discipline and includes 52 weeks of activity choices specifically created for children ages 18 – 36 months.
Preschool 3 -4 Years Old
The goal of Pre-Kindergarten is to prepare young children for success in school. Research has identified the key benchmarks that are accurate prediction of future achievement. Countinuously monitoring each child’s progress against these benchmarks is critical. The instructional model of Big Day for Pre-K is based on a reciprocal process with daily observation of the key indicators and daily responsive instruction for individual and small groups.
Afterschool 4 – 12 Years Old
Our Afterschool Program offers transportation from Alto Bonito Schools all the way to Mission Schools. Children are given a small snack upon arriving and receive help with their homework. During School Holiday Vacations we offer all day care and fun age appropriate activities. In the summer month we offer a Summer Camp for our school aged children that consist of fun educational field trips and activities that keep them busy and active all summer long.
